a straightforward banana drink

Tasting Notes
Rory: It’s sounds like a gimmick drink, and I guess it is, but it’s good!
There’s some just-ripe banana (surprising, since Giffard seems to lean _under_ripe), lots of pineapple, notable but not overwhelming lime. The two rums feel like too-loud music heard from a very comfortable distance.
I’m glad we waited to make this ‘til we’d gotten our hands on the Giffard; I think it’d’ve been wrong with the Tempus Fugit. Like pineapple upside-down cake, rather than fresh fruit.
Ryan: This is a pretty straightforward modern tiki drink. Smith and Cross, Falernum, pineapple juice, lime juice all clearly in there and show up. The giffard banana works well as a nice fresh note–I don’t think that the tempus fugit would work well here. The Smith and Cross funkiness shows up nicely as well, and it’s welcome this time as we haven’t had it in quite a while now.
I don’t have much I’d change, to be honest–if I were making somthing different, I probably wouldn’t riff off of this very much?
Lots of pleasant fruity bannana notes, some sweetness, and I don’t have much to say on it beyond that to be honest–Overall, nothing really very clever, but it is a good, uncomplicated flavor (albeit long recipe) drink.
