Auditing Princeton
Another sharp veer away from Tiki / sweet and tropical to a riff on a pre-prohibition drink.
Privateer
Spoiler: We both didn’t like it, though for unrelated reasons. We were certain that tiki and byrrh were going to go together. They didn’t. At last not here.
Eyes on the Table
Wanting a palate cleanser from the very sweet drinks we’d had for a few days, we picked up a bottle of Byrrh.
Spice Road
When deciding on tonight’s drink, we meant to do something less challenging than many of the batavia arrack drinks, “maybe using the pineapple liqueur since we’re enjoying the banana so much?”. Naturally, that means we found another drink with batavia arrack in it.
Spy Party
To complete this mission, the spy must contact the double agent by using the code word.
Atalanta
More Batavia Arrack! It’s prickly again! The arrack fits with the lemon the same way it fit with the Ancho Reyes yesterday.
The Green Mile
We had a bunch of Thai basil left over from dinner, so this seemed like an obvious choice. We made it two ways - once with Plantation 3 Star, and once with Uruapan Charanda Blanco.
Kill Devyl Reef
This was one of the first drinks we were able to make out of Mustipher’s Tiki. The funkiness of the Uruapan Charanda and the Rum Fire gave it a very pungent nose but overall it came together extremely well.
